Spring in Minnesota
No one appreciates Spring quite like Minnesotans do. After 4-5 months of cold weather and not enough snow to go xc-skiing or enough vertical to go downhill skiing, we all come out of hibernation and bask in the sun's glory like no other on the planet...okay, maybe just the Western Hemisphere.
This is the first day of 2007 that we've gotten above 40 degrees and everyone and his/her brother/sister are outside walking around the lakes and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Jon and I did just the same. We woke up this morning and headed to The Bad Waitress for breakfast. Then, after a bit of Spring cleaning at home (we got rid of another 2 bags of crap), we walked around Lake Harriett to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine and then headed back to The Bad Waitress for Happy Hour to sit outside and enjoy a nice glass of wine/beer in the sunshine. I'm sorry - did I already mention sunshine? Can you tell that I'm excited?
Something physiologically morphs in me when the weather starts to get warm and the sun shines. Just look at the pure happiness on the faces of Jon and me.
