Last weekend, Jon and I headed up to the mountains to tackle Chief Mountain. This was one of the first hikes we did when we moved out here in 2001, so we thought it fitting to do it again upon our return in 2007. While the hike itself is quite short (less than 3 miles round trip), it is a bit difficult due to the elevation. It starts at 10,600 feet and ends at 11,709 atop Chief Mountain with some of the most gorgeous views of the front range and Continental Divide.
