Today, November 3rd, is a magnificent day! 70 degrees and sunny, with not a cloud in the bright blue sky.
I love Colorado!
I just got back from a nice bike ride around Sloan's Lake with a beautiful view of the mountains. The only thing that could have made this day 100% perfect is if Jon didn't have to work.
I haven't lived in a house with a fireplace since I lived with my parents - and I have to tell you - I love fireplaces. Jon and I have a fireplace in our house in Denver - and we just started having fires - and I love it!!!
I am taking a mental health day today and, damn, it feels good.
My shoulders are relaxed.
My head is (sort of) clear.
My breath is calm.
My heart rate is normal.
I'm heading up to Rocky Mountain National Park to take in some beautiful scenery and work out all the pent-up stress that's been building over the last couple of weeks.
Happy Friday!!!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Why?

There are a number of places in the world that I would like to live...Cape Town, South Africa; Colorado; small Italian village on the Mediterranean Sea; somewhere in the Caribbean; or near the Blue Mountains of New Zealand. I've had the wonderful experience of visiting Cape Town and living in Colorado - and hopefully will again. As for the others...I just think they would be amazing places to live.

Hmmm...see any trends here?
Jon and I went to the premiere showing of Warren Miller's Off the Grid last night at the State Theatre. We had toyed with the idea of skipping it due to last year's horribly blatant product placement throughout the entire movie. Picture this, 3 people hanging out at the top of a slope with a gigantic Nature Valley granola bar eating it and talking about how good it is. Now really, is that necessary or effective? Anyway, they must have received tons of criticism because this year's advertising was quite subtle - signs in the background, scanning over logos on skis and such. Advertising means, I think, we can all live with. The movie was good - great mountain scenes and lots of crazy skiing. It definitely got me in the mood to move go to Colorado and hit the slopes - although, not nearly in the same fashion as they do.
