Who was your first celebrity crush?
Submitted by Glory.
Kirk Cameron was my first celebrity crush - I even joined his fan club. I thought he was so dreamy. Now, he's just a little too weird for me.
How have people mispronounced your name? How is it supposed to sound?
Submitted by Lorie.
Not many people mispronounce my name, as there are just not too many ways you could pronounce Jenny, other than the correct way. I have, however, seen some interesting spellings of my name - the first of which completely shocked me. I came home from Junior High School to read a note written by my very own mother...
"Dearest Jennie,
Blah, blah, blah.
Love, Mom"
What? I know you're all getting a chuckle over the "dearest" part, but I've come to think its sweet. But, Jennie? How could my own mom spell my name wrong...or was she spelling it right and I had been spelling it wrong all these years? I was so confused. As it turns out, it was a complete mistake and J-e-n-n-y is in fact the correct spelling of my nickname (full name Jennifer).
In the last few years, I have gone by the name Jennifer a bit more, especially at work. As such, I've come across some new ways to spell Jennifer - the most note-worthy of which is J-e-n-n-i-p-h-u-r. Hmmmm...just not sure about that one.
What did you dream about last night?
Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work....
For the last few weeks, it's the only thing I've dreamt about and, to a certain extent, thought about - with the exception of Playa. I recently started a new job within Real Cities, but haven't been able to relinquish my old duties yet - so needless to say, I've been a little overworked and stressed.
But, as with everything, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I was able to train in 3 new planners this week (2 of which will be taking over my old responsibilities) and am starting to pass things off to them. As Joy says, I need learn to delegate. Well, damn it, now I'm doing it and, man, does it feel good! Yee haw!

What's the worst pickup line you've ever heard?
Submitted by ShellEy.
The worst, yet funniest, pick-up lines I've ever heard are from the movie "The Ladies Man". (movie trailer)
"Was your father a meat burglar, because it looks like someone stole two fine hams and shoved them down the back of your dress?"
"I brought you some flowers. They look and feel plastic, but they smell real."

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Why?
Submitted by abcdefg81.
There are a number of places in the world that I would like to live...Cape Town, South Africa; Colorado; small Italian village on the Mediterranean Sea; somewhere in the Caribbean; or near the Blue Mountains of New Zealand. I've had the wonderful experience of visiting Cape Town and living in Colorado - and hopefully will again. As for the others...I just think they would be amazing places to live.

What's the best way to spend a rainy day?
Submitted by Vee.
My favorite way to spend a rainy day is curled up with a good book or on the couch watching a movie, while drinking hot apple cider. I'm also a big fan of cleaning house on a rainy day - lame, but true. Actually, I may just get a chance to do that this week/end - it's supposed to be in the 40s with rain or snow.
How many pets have you owned in your lifetime? Tell us about them.
Submitted by jennajellopy.vox.com.
I've owned three pets in my life...okay, I've had a few more if you include goldfish...but I'm just not a good goldfish owner, so I don't like to talk about them. So back to the three...two dogs and a cat. After owning both dogs and cats, I have come to love them both - although, I originally found myself to be strictly a dog-person. They each have their own endearing qualities. Cats are individualistic and quirky, yet low-maintenance. Dogs, on the other end, are lovable and loyal companions, yet high-maintenance. Interestingly enough, I have found that I love them both. However, at this point in my life, one cat is all I can handle.
This is Clover, our first Golden Retriever. She was my family's dog from before I was born until I was 13 - this picture was taken around that time. She was incredibly sweet; loved people (as all Goldens do); and had a keen sense of knowing exactly how I was feeling. If I was sad, she would just lay nearby and look at me as though she was keeping watch...but if I was happy, she was always excited.
Sadly, most of my memories of her are in her older years after she had developed arthritis and had difficulty walking. Regardless, she was my first pet - and just because of that - she will always have an extra special place in my memory.
This is Lady, our 2nd Golden Retriever. We got her from a shelter, in 1990, that had found her in the middle of winter roaming the streets of Rosemount while pregnant with 6 black lab/golden retriever mixes.
Lady was crazy. She liked to climb trees - seriously - so high one time, that my dad had to climb a ladder to get her down because she was unable to turn around on the skinny branch she was standing on. She also liked to chase the ducks at the cabin.
Lady had tons of energy and was a lot of fun.
And this is Zulu - as a kitty. Here's a picture of her now. She is also crazy, but in a cat way:
- she jumps at the slightest sound;
- chases things that aren't there;
- sits beside me for hours - just looking;
- eyeing the birds, squirrels and rabbits out the window;
- stares forever into the vents looking for mice.; and
- of course, sleeps for hours.
Recently, she has developed a strange habit of waking us up at 4:15am by dragging around one of her toys and meowing in a very weird, uncat-like meow.
Sigh....the joys of owning a pet:)
